Children. Parents and childcare providers are encouraged to worship with their children. Their energy, movement and presence are welcome in the sanctuary during worship. Do not hesitate to move with your child(ren) in and out of the worship area if needed during the service. Movement is good.

What about Sunday morning programs for kids: Worship with your child(ren) on Sunday mornings is the only program. Experience worship with your kids. Let’s have all ages worship when we gather.

Holy CommunionAll are welcome regardless of their religious affiliation.

Coffee. Feel free to bring a cup of Joe (or tea) into the sanctuary during worship to help you with your energy, movement and presence.

ParkingReach Out Lodi has a parking lot but there’s plenty of parking off-street, too.

What to WearCasual and comfortable. Common Ground does not have a dress code so some folks come in their Sunday’s best, others come in jeans. Most are somewhere in between. It’s you’re call.

Offering: No plates are passed around during worship. If you would like to support the Common Ground please use the online giving portal or mail-in a check donation to:

The Point of the Sermon: Proclamation of God’s good news, forgiveness of sins, and hope for you and the world will always be the core of preaching during worship. God loves you, God is for you!

A church that doesn’t provoke any crises, a gospel that doesn’t unsettle, a word of God that doesn’t get under anyone’s skin, a word of God that doesn’t touch the real sin of the society in which it is being proclaimed–what gospel is that? Very nice, pious considerations that don’t bother anyone, that’s the way many would like preaching to be. Those preachers who avoid every thorny matter so as not to be harassed, so as not to have conflicts and difficulties, do not light up the world they live in.  (Oscar Romero)
